Otter Cottage Playhouse Climbing Frame

This Otter Cottage Playcentre will be a stunning feature in your garden as well as a fantastic playcentre for your children.

Our Otter cottage is a charming feature building both inside and out. The inside of this handmade playhouse is lined throughout with plywood, and then given at least 3 coats of paint, so that it is just like the plastered walls of a real house. The gable shape over the door is carried on inside. Although this is a complex piece of craftsmanship we believe it is worth it as really helps make the inside feel light and airy as well as adding charm and architectural character to the interior of the playhouse. What is also worth mentioning about the inside of our Otter Cottage children’s playhouse is that a person over 6 feet tall can stand upright inside with ease.
Outside the cottage is painted using colours that you have selected. The roof, including that stunning gable feature is made from Cedar shingles. Charming to look at, they are a proper roofing material that is very suited to the high variation of climate and weather that we see in the United Kingdom.
The Otter Cottage playhouse is placed on a raised deck that forms the basis of the wooden climbing frame, and enables a huge variation of activities to be incorporated.
As a start, the Otter Cottage playcentre includes a slide, steps, a climbing wall and the ever popular fireman’s pole. It is then possible to add all sorts of exciting extras, including monkey bars, scramble nets and swings.
You can of course take things even further and add lower dens, bridges and towers. These are our Otter Cottage Mega Playhouse climbing frame and the Otter Cottage Combo playhouse climbing frame.
Combing all of these elements together, and more leads you to the Otter Cottage Mega Combo playhouse climbing frame.
All our handmade playhouses and wooden climbing frames are made for high quality joinery timber that is planed to a smooth finish, and is pressure treated to protect against rot and to ensure it has a long life out of doors. We carefully add rounded edges to all the exposed edges. Our timber suppliers are FSC and PEFC accredited.

We like to work with our customers to ensure that what we are building for you is going to be a seamless and trouble-free process.
Often the best way to start is to give us a call (01404 598328) or drop us an email at We can talk through the options and possibilities with you, and discuss the specifics of you garden.
In many cases a visit to site can be useful. We’ll bring a tape measure, some blank paper, and plenty of photographic examples of our work for you to look at. We don’t charge for making site visits. Usually at the end of a visit it is possible to give you a price. Sometimes it may be necessary to go away and work up a design and a quotation.
Once you are happy with the design and proposal we will raise our Sales Order. We ask for a deposit of 40% of the value of the order. This can be paid online direct to our bank account, or we can take card payments over the phone, and as long as our bank still takes cash we’re happy to accept that too!
There is a facility to pay through the website, but we’d really like to talk to you first.
Once a sales order is in place and a deposit has been paid we will make the product in our workshop. We aim for a delivery and installation within 4 weeks of ordering, at busy times this may be a little more but is almost always within 6 weeks.
We deliver and install all our playhouses and climbing frames ourselves. Most playcentres are installed within one or 2 days. Large bespoke projects may take 3 or more days to build in your garden.
